Ideas on Creativity

So throughout the past 4 or 5 years I feel as if my creative outlets or creative desires have shifted ever so slightly over time. Now of course there has been the constants: cooking, photography, food photography, etc. But something I have struggled with is a consistent outflow of video related content that I’ve wanted to make. During the new year I began making fitness related very personable content but lost motivation to edit myself talking and being open. And I think that’s where a lot of my issues lie within editing: editing myself. I believe a combination of lacking confidence in what I’m making and having me be in front of the camera and on screen and my voice being captured makes it difficult for me to see the complete solution to the project.

On top of this I find that my interests change somewhat frequently. This might be due to ADHD or some other factors but I’ll find some topic will pique my interest and after a few days or weeks or sometimes even a month or two I’ll lose interest. So what I am hoping to do is to turn these brief infatuations and interests into a form of educational content.

What this will hopefully look like is a video or videos on certain specific topics (some ideas I already have include car photography, astrophotography, molding/casting video game controller buttons, restoring old cameras, and more) where I document and share along the learning process and show what I have created out of it.

Ok I’m running out of thoughts on this topic so going to leave it as is. If this is something you’re interested in watching or learning about or participating in I’d love to hear from you so feel free to reach out to me.

thanks,
