For me cooking and food photography were both newfound loves that grew in tandem with each other. Neither would be quite as big as it is without the other.

It was early in my culinary journey that a book in the photography section of the bookstore caught my eye. “That Photo Makes Me Hungry” by Andrew Scrivani opened so many creative outlets for me not only to explore my photography but also to grow my palette by learning to cook and photograph new and different kinds of foods.

Whether it is making pasta from scratch or photographing frozen pretzels reheated in the air fryer it is the creative process of taking something meant to be destroyed and artistically capturing that moment before finally getting to devour my creation that truly brings me culinary joy.
